You heard of Outlast? Yes? Great. Wait, what, no? Okay. Fine.
Outlast became a cult gaming classic. Released in September of 2013, the game blew up to stardom thanks to multiple walkthroughs via famous YouTubers. The game started a FPS horror genre trend that launched more of a story driven, linear experience with tons of supernatural horror elements. Outlast, developed and published by Red Barrels did well both in terms of financial success and critical acclaim.
Of course, being with life comes success, comes sequels. Henceforth, OUTLAST 2.
The game returns to its familiar formats, featuring the night vision camera mode, multiple hiding elements and intense chase sequences. Some people are already a bit upset at how similar this is to the first. Regardless, what game play was shown, managed to scare a lot of people.
Red Barrels has slated Outlast 2 for a fall release on PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
