The upcoming Mass Effect sequel, Andromeda has been relatively quiet. Besides a short cinematic trailer, not much information has been gathered on the upcoming title for BioWare’s franchise. Unfortunately, today’s news isn’t as pleasing for BioWare and Co.
Chris Wynn, the development director of Mass Effect: Andromeda, has been with BioWare since July of 2013 and unfortunately, his time with the company has come to an end.
“It is with a heavy heart today to say that I am moving on from BioWare and Mass Effect: Andromeda, and returning to the USA. The Andromeda team is the most talented team that I have ever worked with, truly inspiring to have worked with you each and every day. I will join the passionate N7 community and will eagerly await the release of Andromeda with equal enthusiasm. Thank you and Happy Holidays!” Wynn said in a series of tweets announcing the departure.
Nothing has been released from Wynn or BioWare in regards to why he decided to step away from the project. All we know is, this time in development, losing the development director cannot be a great sign for this game.
All things considered, Wynn left with much enthusiasm with the project and also noting BioWare’s talent and skill. We all hope his loss will not be as crushing as we fear.
