For what seemed like a century, fans began PhotoShopping their personal choices into the iconic Captain Marvel get-up.
Then when Marvel decided on going with Brie Larson, the next question was posed: who’s gonna direct it?
Many of course were assuming Marvel was going to go for someone in their current roster of successful director: Russo Brother, Joss Whedon, James Gunn, etc.
Though I’m sure any of them would have done a bang-up job helming the project, neither had the specific…chromosomes Marvel was looking for.
So Who’s Directing It?
Marvel’s success with duo directors has already proven to work with Captain America: Winter Soldier/Civil War directors, The Russo Brothers (Anthony and Joe Russo).
So with Feige’s knack for finding young talent, it was only a matter of time before he chose the two up-incoming duo directors, Anna and Ryan.
What Have They Made?
Since then, the two have co-written and co-directed various films together including 2014’s very successful Mississppi Grind which starred Ryan Reynolds and Ben Mendelsohn as alcoholic gamblers in Iowa.
